The Safari Wagon is the sister of the Chevy Nomad wagon, however, Pontiac decided to add additional chrome touches including chrome trim & accents setting it apart from its sister. Building only 4042 Safaris in 1956 this car is a rare find. This high-trim unique two door style wagon is a Resto-Mod build. This Rotisserie restoration left nothing untouched. The burgundy and white two-tone paint, brightwork and interior are all in excellent condition.
A new ZZ4 350 Crate engine mated to a 700R automatic transmission with overdrive was installed. Powder coated headers, custom finned valve covers, and Bat Wing air cleaner were also installed. The underside was also highly detailed. Everything still looks spotless. A Fat Man front end and Currie 9” rear end add to the look of this wagon. Cruise down the highway on custom 17” Riddler wheels with vintage AC that blows cold. The car runs very well and is surprisingly fast. Other features include power steering and power brakes.
