The Coupe named Lucile is a highly modified car with an original all steel body on a custom-built tube chassis with roll cage.

She was professionally built, featured in magazines, and has won numerous awards. “Lucile” is a true 1937 Ford, five window coupe. A real rust-free steel body survivor. The dashboard was hand formed in aluminum then hammer welded and finished to a seamless one-piece unit. The Overhead control panel has switches to control various functions. There is no square metal on this machine. The chassis is over under rails with cross bracing throughout and is constructed of 1- 1/3″ mild steel tube with a .125″ wall. There is a complete roll cage. The front spindles and control arms are from a Corvette, aluminum C-4.  The heart of “Lucile” is a Chevy 572 cubic inch crate engine with 620 horsepower on pump gas. Thunder control is via pro street headers into 4-inch side pipes There is a 9″ strange rear end, with a four-bar track locator. Power to the ground is transmitted through a Performance built Turbo 400 automatic transmission with shift kit, high stall torque converter and Custom-built drive shaft. The windshield appears not to have a frame. The frame is behind the glass, and the glass seals neatly to the body when closed.  The louvers on the inner fenders have a curved pattern, this is to flow with the shape of the body.  Other performance and dress-up accessories to name a few: Custom Paint, Custom Leather Interior, Billet Specialties, Custom Gauges, Ididit Tilt Steering column, Power Windows/Drivers Seat, Cruise Control, Vintage Air, Boyd’s Wheels, Power Rack and Pinion Steering and much more. “Lucile” was featured three times in Hot Rod Magazine, and ultimately awarded their annual Top Ten Award, and was the cover story for Street Rodder magazine, and a cover of Chrome Flames a French magazine. “Lucile” was the recipient of the Body Coddington Pros Pick, and awarded by Body on the Indianapolis Race Way, “Lucile” is a pure-bred champion.

The car is a high-quality built Street Rod designed to be driven and/or for show circuit.

It would be considered “high -range” in terms of value for the individual components and workmanship.
