This long sleek beauty is not only stylish to show but a beauty to drive. There was no detail left untouched in this restoration. The two-tone cream and brown paint scheme makes the crisp angles of this car pop no matter what angle you look from. Radial wide whitewall tires with chrome spoked wheels will be sure to dazzle the eyes. It is the same story with the tan interior, where all the upholstery, carpeting, and headliner shows a crispness. There are zero signs of cracking or peeling on the dash.

The Special four door coupe features suicide doors, front vent panes, lowerable door glass, small rear quarter windows and a spare tire in the trunk. All 1938 Buicks were distinguished by a new two-piece die-cast grille with wider horizontal grille bars spaced farther apart. Longer bullet-shaped headlamps were mounted integral with the radiator shell.

All models had all-steel Unisteel body construction and Fisher Body Turret Top styling. Batteries were moved from beneath the floorboards to under the hood.

Under the engine cowling is a clean 455 CI engine, automatic turbo 400 transmission, independent front suspension, air ride, power steering, front power disc brakes and air conditioning. 34816 miles showing on the two-tone dash. A car so well-done like this 1938 Buick Special is hard to come by. This car rated 2- Excellent condition when appraised in August 2021.
