Using the existing popularity of the Bel Air name, GM decided to present the Nomad as the Bel Air Nomad – a wagon offering more space than the Nomad. The consumer’s reaction was such a hit that GM continued them in production on and off until 1972. This car quickly became tagged as one of Harley Earl’s “dream cars”
This 1957 Nomad is nothing short of spectacular. The result of a high-end restoration, this wagon’s exterior gleams with laser straight body lines accenting all the correct factory trim. The Harbour Blue paint is a great backdrop for all the factory correct trim, glass and bright work. Powered by 350 CID V8 crate motor with a 4-barrel carburetor mounted on a high rise Edelbrock aluminum intake manifold with ceramic coated exhaust headers. Mated to a 4 speed OD transmission & stock differential this car features many accessories such as the high energy ignition viewed in the extremely tidy engine bay. Front to back, outside to inside, this Nomad exemplifies what a first-class Resto Mod is all about.
This car underwent an appraisal in October 2023 with an excellent 2+ condition rating.
